We debated about buying the set without the radio, but decided to go with this one because we always kept saying we needed a weather radio and thought this could work for that. Well, we are very impressed with the radio and my husband takes it with him everywhere and the sound and clarity is phenomenal. We even hooked up our iTouch to it.
